Has anyone done a full RTTS season as a catcher?

I start one almost every year thinking about how much fun it would be... Then i quit after about 5 games.

They made it where you can just play the Stolen Base Attempts, Bunts and Pop Ups, but it still requires you to call pitches at times.

Yeah, I'm roughly six seasons deep in my RTTS catcher without simming games. I actually find the fielding side of it a little less repetitive than the other positions since there is more to worry about than just fielding the play. I have to think of what pitch to call to get a result I want (whether trying to get a grounder for a double play or setting myself up to potentially throw out a stealing runner) instead of knowing I'm going to have to field the ball (my 3B RTTS) or cover the bag about 95% of the time (my 1B RTTS).

I've loved the idea of playing a catcher in the show. It's like MoM and player lock all in one! Turns out after trying it I still prefer to play franchise.

I very rarely play RttS, but when I do, it's either SP or catcher. Other positions either frustrate or bore me.

Awesome. How long does a typical game take you to play?

After seeing this thread yesterday I decided to start a RttS catcher last night. Switch hitter, 6'00"/220 lbs. With the RTTS Fielding Opportunities option set to "Some", it looks like I have to go into full catching mode when there are runners on base, and it skips at-bats when there is nobody on. We'll see how long it takes, I only played the showcase games and a couple of my first AA games so far. I was drafted in the 4th round by the Orioles.

Always thought about doing this, but never committed. How often do you get stolen base attempts? I wonder if they attempt less when your arm strength improves.
