Seventh no-hitter.

Yeah, totally unrealistic.

This has no bearing on today's pitchers. Rarely do pitchers go beyond 100 pitches in today's game. When they do, they're someone who's an inning eating ace typically (Kershaw, Bumgarner, Scherzer, etc). Lesser pitchers tend to get worn out and lose control. Particularly if they've been throwing a lot of innings over the course of the season and their arms get burnt out. Also, Nolan Ryan was a freak of nature.

Nice story but a bit exaggerated. He threw 131 pitches in 8.1 innings in a 5-2 loss to Cleveland.

Re: 0 Energy pitchers

Yeah, my RTTS pitcher went 119 pitches last night, first mlb start after being called up from AA. Bottom of the 8th I was in red and as I started the 9th I had no energy. I appreciate being able to finish my complete game shut out but I should have maybe been pulled from the game. I think my stamina rating is like an 82 or somewhere around there with my stamina slider currently at 6 and manager hook slider at 7. My injury slider is lower, I think 4 right now so maybe I'll bump that up? Not a huge deal but it does take some of the realistics out of the game.

One of the reasons, aside from just the realism of it, that the injury slider should be set to at least 8, or my recommendation is 9.

Now if they will only do it.
The issue there is once enough guys are gassed, your LR will get max IP. Remember, relievers cannot and do not pitch every single day in MLB, so that makes it even trickier.

Re: 0 Energy pitchers

I don't have a issue of a RP or even a SP pitching to 0 energy. Im sure it doesnt mean 0 is dead. My issue is pitching at 100 looks the same as pitching with 0 energy. Still hits the marks, still has velocity, no fatigue to the pitches.

Franchise SIM is dead. Find your favorite iterations and play it forever. Card games are whats "now" and games will cater in that direction and forget realism.

Just have fun and play :)

Nolan Ryan was the best pitcher to ever play the game. Can't really compare anyone to him.

Big Ryan fan here but I have to be realistic
Tom Seaver
Christy Mathewson
Walter Johnson
Roger Clemens
Randy Johnson
Pete Alexander
Lefty Grove
Greg Maddux
Warren Spahn
Bob Gibson
Steve Carlton

you could even make a case for Pedro Martinez, Phil Niekro, Gaylord Perry, Fergie Jenkins and Robin Roberts. Nolan is probably the most famous pitcher this side of Cy Young, I'll grant you that.
