Fantasy Draft Still Broken - Same As Last Year

I made a thread for this last year, so it's not a new issue. Long story short, it's happened again with the new Show game, for like the fourth year in a row. Without fail, I cannot get through a fantasy draft without the game crashing on 30-team control (you might ask why, it's the quickest way to make the league the way I want it).

I already reported it as a bug on the bug report forum on SCEA, but I just wanted to let loose, because I know my concerns won't be addressed (it's such a small issue that doesn't seem to really adversely effect anyone else, or such a small section of the community that it probably isn't worth fixing).

It's just so frustrating to know that I'm going to have to find three more hours in a busy week where I barely have any free time to try to hammer out a second three hour draft, when it should have only taken one.

I'll never understand why there isn't a save button in a 90 round fantasy draft. Madden has had one for years (they seem to recognize crashes as a common occurrence), and from what I remember, the NBA 2k series has a similar system (although the NBA fantasy drafts are only 15 rounds, so worst case, you aren't getting close to losing as much progress).

I'm going to go cry underneath a rock and get ready for work in the morning. I love the Show, but it's moments like these where I just wish I hated video games, so I could do something more productive.

If this is something you are intent on doing and the fantasy drat is broken for 30 team control
it might take a lot longer to fix teams rosters and move players around via ''player movement''
    but it can be done.

Oh, I thought this was just going to be about how laughably bad the draft AI is. I was hoping the OSFM rosters would make it a bit better, but no dice. The results are completely static at the top, it seems. Closers get absurd value and come off the board in the 1st (while Andrew Miller sits until the 8th or so). It's an appalling failure that they have such bad AI with no ability to create context or its own decisions on that front. I always loved doing these on 2K just to see what kinds of wild decisions the computer would make in the draft. When it's all predictable, it's both boring and easily exploited.

Maybe...someday...they'll make an effort in Franchise. The challenges of managing a team shouldn't have to be completely fabricated on our end because the mode is so fundamentally broken.

Yea I wanted to do a full season of fantasy draft and wait for a few versions of OSFM to come out but I tried several drafts and they all got boring real quick. All the teams seem to value the exact same thing (not like in the MLB).

Heres the thing: if MLB did a reboot and started over from scratch IRL with a 'fantasy' draft,
some of the headscratchers you see in the Show would play out like similarly IRL.
Teams would make strange picks because they are looking at the big picture budget wise and have to build a team accodingly. The truth is none of us know how a real MLB fantasy draft would play out, esp. when we're looking at partial rosters in the Show with 90 man teams instead of say 150-175.

Sure, there would be some head-scratching picks but I don't think you'd see 15 closers go ahead of Andrew Miller and Dellin Betances just bc they are listed as RP and not CP. I don't think you'd see an entire round where every team decided they wanted to draft a RP. I don't think you'd see high quality A potential prospects still around in Round 35. The level of A.I stupidity in these fantasy drafts is mind-boggling. And the thing is, it's the same exact thing every single year. SCEA doesn't put much effort into it at all.

I had this suggested to me, but I simply don't have the time for it. As it is, I don't even have a three hour block this week for me to re-do the "quicker" way.

I did this one year, and it took me upwards of 10 hours to do it.

This is all besides the point though, Madden, and even NBA 2k, have failsafes for this thing. The only major sports game that doesn't is MLB the Show, and there's zero reason for it. So much can go wrong when you are talking about a 90 round draft.
