Pinch Hitting: Viewing Opposing Pitcher

On the substitutions screen, is there a way to see the opposing pitcher? When a new inning starts and it says "You might want to pinch hit for your pitcher", it's really hard to know if I should pick a righty or lefty if I don't know who they have on the mound late in the game.

Just press circle (to ignore the suggestion) and then manually do the substitution using the start menu or D-Pad after looking at the pitcher... I wish there was a better way to look at it too but this should work.

That's what I've been doing, but was hoping there is an easier way. Not sure why they don't show it.
