Try it. Default legend hitting and pitching. The only adjustment I made was wind at 3. You won't see the crazy long homers anymore on this difficulty. CPU crushes your mistake pitches. Hitting against an Ace is a struggle. It's really beautiful baseball. It's also very frustrating at times, just like real baseball. But that's what makes the wins so sweet.

If you struggle, give it a few games and just keep at it. I played the last 30 games with it and have seen so much variety. Games are amazing. There's no pattern. Every game is completely different from the last. I've been playing sports games a long, long time and this is by far the best one ever made to me when you switch over to legend and start to get the hang of it.

I'm a long time all-star level player so when I gave this method a shot I was skeptical expecting an amped up cpu that I couldn't stay on the field with. To my surprise it played a great brand of baseball where I never once felt cheated. I actually won my first game 4-3 and felt pressed by the cpu to hang on for victory.

I will try again tmw. Fingers crossed...

What batting/pitching control methods do you use?

I use Analog with stride batting and meter pitching.

Catchers don't drop my pitches unless i throw one in the dirt pretty bad...

Cpu pitchers do throw wild pitches occasionally but nothing outrageous. Generally their command is very good.

Decided to start up a franchise on Legend because of this thread with the Braves... I couldn't agree more, plays beautifully. All types of different hits and even a few errors mixed in.

My problem is hitting. Usually get about 6 a game, with Freddie Freeman smashing a bomb. But everything else is strikeouts and pop-flys that are in foul territory. Lacking good wood... well, not in real life, but, yall get my drift lol

Any tips? PAUSE!

started off my blue jays franchise 8-2 but have now lost 4 straight and the cpu has found my weakness. legend default is pretty good this year

i just tryed this for the first time, i took the approach of my friend joshc77 who has made sliders on this board. i gotta say this was a tough tough very fun game. i lost 4 - 1, all i did was lower the wind to 3 as you suggested. the game honestly felt real, there were to bombs this game, one by me throw pretty much down the lower middle to Batista in a 3-2 count that he tagged, and one by me. i use auto fielding and the clean screen approach from my bro Armor&Sword. the speed of the fielders were really good, i actually managed to load the bases once, and as i said i was able to hit a homerun, that i legit timed.

i really appreciate it you bringing this up, it really does play well, and to me it played really sim where the ratings of a pitcher really does matter, you throw a mistake pitch? then you gotta be prepared for that. i like how it forced me to play every pitch. im going to use this set for a season, yes i know i will get my head kicked in, but im also gonna have fun learning the game. if i can manage that, then its a win win either way. thx for the suggestion, i didn't see cheese in this mode, i seen baseball foreal, i had several chances but my patience and the plate was not there, you will see if a pitcher has 4 great pitches you will see them. be warned now...

There is now way I could play Legend pitching in Great American Smallpark. My pitchers would get stiff necks from whiplash.

Well I just tried this on opening day Reds at Phils I expected this to be like 9 Mike Schmidts vs Danny Graves. Wow!!! It was 2-0 via 2 solo shots by Herrera. Then Peraza launched aSolo to make it 2-1. A chopper by Saurez tied it at 2 chasing Nola. Some bad defense by them in the 7th allowed me to score 4!!! Reds win 8-3. I'm astonished and potentially hooked. I loathe sliders so I did everything out of box on Legend. I had 8 runs on 10 hits they 3 and 6. Great find,I pray this isn't an anomaly.

I'm going to start my "real" Pirates franchise here soon..excited to start on legend. Don't see us winning a pennant year one or two so I'm content with getting beat around a little the first month or so.

I have to say I was sceptical about doing legend with default but I must say I was very surprised at how well it actually plays. I am going to turn down fielder running a bit and also turn down base running one notch but other than that it's really good.
