Easter Egg: Secret Room inside Polo Grounds?

Yesterday I posted a video of Mike Trout hitting a 638 foot bomb out of the polo grounds. Here it is again, below.

One thing I saw but didn't really think anything about until today... what the heck is up with that room inside the center field clubhouse/administrative offices at 1:16?

Seriously. It's not just an empty room - there's a painting of a jungle inside the room, and a desk. Someone at SCEA had to have built that portion of the stadium with intent, knowing that it would never be seen during actual gameplay. But *why*?

I can't stop thinking about it now. Why the heck does that room exist? Are there other secret rooms? Where is Jimmy Hoffa buried?

WE DEMAND ANSWERS, RAMONE!

Re: Easter Egg: Secret Room inside Polo Grounds?

I think those details aren't meant to be secret...

In a developer stream a year or two ago, they used (true) fly cam to show the details inside some of the buildings outside the stadium. Quite interesting that they go that far.

At the same time, I think not having those details, we may actually detect in periphery vision, even unconsciously.

Real secret is actually on why does the SDS adamantly refuse to allow flycam or place camera on anywhere to see the game from different viewpoints. Seems to me an unnecessary restriction.

I saw your Trout video and it was fun to watch. But I never can get the replay controls in this game. I can't get the camera so high up like you did to see the details outside the stadium. Can you see Old Old Yankee stadium from the Polo Grounds in replay? It should be just across the river.

Pastapadre posted some videos on his site last year over 4 or 5 stadiums that you could get out of. At Seattle you could get out and go down the street where they had CenturyLink fully built. What's nuts about that is you can't even see the stadium when you're playing a game.

Nope, across the river is just apartments.

Try hitting a flyball, and then zooming out using the down button on the d-pad.

Yankee Stadium was built in 1923, so if this version of the Polo Grounds is from earlier, "The House That Ruth Built" wouldn't be there yet.

Or is it?!

You could glitch out of Polo Grounds last year...and it still works, haha.
