Re: Directional hitting

So does pushing down get you a ground ball, or make you hit under the ball for a fly ball?

Re: Directional hitting

I was using Directional for the first time for the whole time I've had the game but changed to analog zone today. Enjoying it much more. Feels like stats and hitting tendencies are truer with zone and i feel i have more control.

For me I use directional because I want my players to play more to their ratings than to my skills.

Zone by far gives you more control and if you are good at it you can really do some damage.

I've still yet to hit a HR with a pitcher on directional, but I've hit a couple with zone just getting lucky and guessing the exact location the pitch was going and power swinging.

Re: Directional hitting

I play RTTS on dynamic difficulty and have been bouncing between legend and legend+ using directional hitting. Check out Cook Diddy on Youtube if you want to see how it plays.

Re: Directional hitting

worthless against any decent players, you're only going to hit if the ball is down the middle

also decent in a 3-1 count if you're going to do a hit and run
