Lost a no hitter in the 11th

Going into the game I'd never pitched a no hitter past the 6th inning. Last night i got thru the 7th. Then the 8th. Then the 9th. And finally the 10th!

    But i couldn't freaking score

Ended up losing 1-0 in the 11th inning

As a certain burned-up prince voiced by Rufio once said...

    "That's rough, buddy."

Very sorry to hear about your loss. My condolences to you and your family. Grief takes time, don't fight it.

        Man....that has to hurt.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Re: Lost a no hitter in the 11th

Oh do I feel your pain... I just had arguably the best baseball game I can remember playing with the A's and Angels. Graveman and Shoemaker trading zeros through 8. Just 4 hits aside, none for extra bases, but lot's of well hit balls right at people, and maybe a couple of really good running catches in the outfield. Then in the 9th, A's score, Angels tie it with 2 out in the bottom of the 9th, no scoring in the 10th, A's get a run in 11th, Angels have runners at the corners with 2 outs in the bottom of the 11th, full count pitch on it's way and the game crashes.

I'll never actually know if the crash was good or bad, but I feel like my high school girlfriend cheated on me, and then laughed at me AND made me pay for dinner.

I rarely get shut out but NOTHING was working - even went to quick manage in the 9th and 10th hoping for a break.

            nope

Remembering the night Harvey Haddix threw 12 perfect innings for the Pirates ... and lost

                That is nuts. And heartbreaking.

I have thrown a perfect game, but did not get credit for a no hitter. Very strange since a perfect game cover a no-no.

I was on the edge of my seat in the 8th and 9th. So much fun!
