Winning too many quick sim games

OK. So I don't exactly have time to play all 162 games of the season......and the new feature where I can control every at bat from a sim point of view is great. I simulate batter by batter and then jump in the game later and play the final innings....hopefully of a close game. The problem is my team winds every game. I am the Indians and I have the difficulty set for when I am playing to have some competitive games. I might be 6-4 in the games I actually play with realistic hit totals and ERA. However in the 10-12 games that I sim batter by batter until the later innings I am undefeated. The CPU controlled version of my team wins like 4-0 and 7-0 all the time and I barely have any close games to even jump in and take control of.

Any idea how to make this better? On some other sports titles I recall there being a "sim difficulty" slider for when you sim games. But I see nothing like this in MLB the show 17. Do the difficulty settings of the actual played games affect this engine at all?

I love this game but being like 17-4 isn't exactly fun when the next closes team is 11-10 or something like that.

Any ideas? Anyone else seeing this?

Instead of quick simiing try quick manage and see what happens.

I'm sorry. I meant quick manage. Where you pick who to pitch to, pitch around, walk or you tell your batter to swing or bunt. Sorry if I confused the terminology.
