Is this not in the game?

I have yet to see any challenge In almost 70 games.....

Still only occurs at first base, and only on plays where you as the user stand to benefit if a reversal happens.

Also, if you have "umpire close plays" turned off in the gameplay options "general" tab, you won't see them at all.

There is a home run fair/foul review scene too, but that occurs completely automatically.

I've seen them at a fairly good clip, maybe 1 every other game

It is still only at first base. And I would like to see it happen with the cpu like in Madden. Hope they improve this next year. Dissapointed it wasn't improved this year.
