Harper

Harper to SD might have something to do with the home town thing. I'm sure as more people get further in to their franchises or rtts's you probably see more of Harper going to the west coast or AZ. In my franchise I'm far enough in that Trout went back home and signed with the Mets.

Re: Harper

He went to the Phillies in my RTTS career. Probably be a while before I get to that point in my franchise.

Because, the kind of contract Bryce Harper will command in free agency will probably be north of 300 million. that would most likely account for 75% of San Diego's payroll. No GM would ever dedicate 75% of their payroll to one player. You would be out of the job pretty quick. Although San Diego is a decent sized city it is nowhere near the market size Miami is. San Diego padres will never generate the kind of revenue to sign a player of Harpers capabilities. It just would never happen. The two most expensive contracts in San Diego padres history were wil Meyers for $83 million, and San shields for $75 million. You think the padres are going to go $220 mill over their previous high on a contract? If your going for realism in your franchise then Bryce Harper signing with the padres is the furthest thing from it. Sorry but I am just being honest
