Issues with CPU closer being pulled prematurely

Hey, has anyone noticed that the CPU will, on occasion, pull their closer (or late-inning reliever) with two outs or so to bring in another reliever when it's not necessary, or realistic, for that matter?

For example, I was playing the Red Sox in Franchise Mode, and Kimbrel walked a batter with one out, bases empty prior to the walk. Following that, he struck me out, after which the CPU decided to pull him in favor of their set-up man. Not after the walk, but after a three-pitch K. Might I add that his pitch count was low, and his energy level more than sufficient. It seems to happen whenever the closer or set-up man puts a man on base and then gets an out; the out number is usually two. I've also seen it once immediately after the walk. It's happened a few times, and it's not happening in a realistic fashion at all, i.e., when the closer has put the outcome in jeopardy.

I'll add that I don't have the internet at home, and am playing under patch 1.06. I don't know if they've fixed this in subsequent patches or not. Anybody else experience this?

Re: Issues with CPU closer being pulled prematurely

Had closer brought in with 2 outs in 8th twice the last couple days. The cpu then starts a different reliever for the 9th.

They did adjust the manager hook in at least one of the patches (can't recall which off the top of my head). I think it mainly affected SPs though.

Re: Issues with CPU closer being pulled prematurely

I believe this is an issue brought about by Humanity AI. Hopefully they will work on it more for next year. Great concept just has a few wrinkles to iron out

Re: Issues with CPU closer being pulled prematurely

It's happened in some of my games but not frequent enough for me to view it as a huge problem. I'd like them to "ride or die" with their closers...lol
