AI logic at different hitting levels

I just went through the process of making an AllStar+ hitting level through dynamic difficulty. It starts you at veteran which, in '15 (did not play '16), meant a lot of grooved pitches. Granted, I was not there long, but there were not that many. It used to be all strikes. So, this has me thinking and I wanted to start a discussion to see what others felt. Does AI seem to improve when you go up a level? Does control on the black improve for the CPU pitcher? Or is it merely less successful dice rolls or maybe a smaller timing window? It didn't feel to me that the AI was any smarter and watching Mike Lowe just because I know he plays HoF, I didn't see a difference in AI. Is it just me?

I somewhat agree. If I hit on veteran and show good plate discipline I can get the CPU strike % down to low 60's high 50's. Same as on all-star. They don't groove strikes on veteran hitting like they did in past iterations of the game. One difference I do see in the CPU ai is they seem to hit spots within strike zone more accurately on the higher levels. This can make it more difficult to barrel balls. I play default sliders btw. Or try to at least. I did make a small adjustment to power and solid hits after this last patch.
