This is true. I've played decades on default rosters with no budget issues, but any rosters using real contracts or that has too many good players will throw the budget out of wack by the time all the superstars are signing past 2021

You could just buy more budget room with your stubs. If you have no other use for stubs that is. I currently don't use stubs for anything but that

Re: Difficulty trading players in franchise due to budget

This is one of the big reasons you see crazy trades in franchise because every CPU controlled team gets right up against their budget so any trade you want to make needs to be 1:1 money wise. 30 team control or turn budgets off.

Teams starting budgets also make no sense. Looks like SDS just set team budgets at whatever they happen to be spending this year. Why do the Cubs have a small budget? (under $100M i think) Yeah their player salaries are low because they are coming out of a rebuild but come on, they have super deep pockets and if you keep budgets on they can never afford to resign guys like Rizzo and Bryant.

Re: Difficulty trading players in franchise due to budget

I'm just wondering if my franchise is still playable? I used one of the osfm rosters that had salaries at or even below default but like I said I'm in 2025 and trades must be exact salaries for so many teams...can I continue or am I screwed
