But just like there are batters with reverse splits, there are also some pitchers with reverse splits. It may be the case where same side hitters should be barreling up more balls against certain pitchers, and the game doesn't seem to replicate that properly.

This one of a few aspects of baseball that I think the 2K series did better than The Show.

No pitcher rating splits makes batter handedness pointless.

I think you'll find those pitchers with reverse splits throw heat with a good tail on it or changes with a lot of movement. It comes down to the repertoire.

Take a pitcher with FB, SL, CH. FB is the X pitch and equally effective against both sided hitters. The Slider is the O pitch and 2nd best where a straight change, equally effective again, it the weakest pitch. This pitcher is going to be better against same-handed hitters since the SL is #2. Now, if they had FB, CCH, Sinker, they will be more effective against opposite handed hitters as both secondary pitches move down and away from them. Same-handed hitters will like hitting them, though.

I'm fine with them out. Makes things less complicated when playing. I don't wanna have to worry about a whole nother set of ratings.
