New user help on franchise

I've only had this game a week and have only played rtts up to now.I tried to start a new franchise but was confused right from the start . Thought I'd start with my roster and get my depth at what other user have from what I've read here it says my 40 man roster is 40\35. What Does this mean and how can i go about having a certain num of each position agt mlb aaa ect. Is there any guide out to help new people out at running franchise or should I just set every thing at auto. Thanks for any help

Re: New user help on franchise

There is an MLB The Show 17 Q&A thread and a Franchise Discussion thread. Those are probably good places to start. I have found once I start the season the game lets me know if my rosters are messed up. I don't always understand the way they come up with the 40 man roster but if you look in the lower right of that box that lists your players by system (MLB, AAA, etc.) the max you can have is 90.

Re: New user help on franchise

The 40 is the 40 man roster, the 35 is how many players you have on the 40 man roster. So basically you still have 5 players available to add to the roster.
