Young Starters With Low Stamina?

Does it make sense to waste any time/effort on young starters with low (sub 70) stamina, given they never progress? For example, in my Cubs franchise, using the OFSM Hybrid rosters, I have Dylan Cease as a Top 50 prospect, tearing it up in AA ball, but he only has a stamina rating of 64. Similarly, my number 2 draft pick, a SP, was revealed to be a 75 overall at 20 yrs old with B potential, but again a stamina in the lows 60s. Are these players useless as starters, or can a starter pitch decently in the majors with such low stamina?

Re: Young Starters With Low Stamina?

In sims they will struggle and get pulled quick.

This is a clear cut flaw in the progression recession system

Not if you invent a system for stamina progression, they aren't useless. For some reason, pitcher stamina is exempt from progression/regression, so you have to do it manually.

Not exempt from regression, all of my pitchers lose at least 1 point per season in stamina

Might be the nerd in me, but I roll a dice. Somewhere between 1-6 seems fair for stamina upgrade each year until they are maybe 25

Re: Young Starters With Low Stamina?

Use an edits scale of stamina based on the overall rating of SP for veterans and prospects, based on their grade potential.

99 - elite

95 - all-star

90 - innings-eater

85 - average/A-potential prospect

80 - lowest stamina to give to any SP/B/C/D/F-potential prospect

Closers - give all a 50-Stamina rating to reduce BSV #'s and give them a lower ERA. you will then get accurate overall SVS %'s. you also need to re-rate their clutch @ 95/90/85/80 (lowest) to help them in Clutch situations.
