Player quirks - pitcher only quirk on position player

I'm noticing some position players that have Pitcher Only quirks. My second baseman has the Stingy quirk which means he has a high H/9 and excels at limiting base hits.

Is this a mistake or does it mean he would be a good option to put on the mound in an extra innings game where I've used every reliever?

its a bug, ive seen it on many players and im sure most if not all people on these forums has seen it one way or another.
