Re: Playing in winter time

The show is the only sports game I play all year round because I can continue my franchise when the next game comes out.

Re: Playing in winter time

I usually play my Franchise during the actual season up to about 2 weeks before trade deadline in the Show. Than I stop and take a break. Than about 2 weeks after FA begins I drop all the players that are FA. And start signing them to their new teams. After most have signed Ill go thru and set all projected lineups and rotation and start up again in early/mid January and finish out my season sometime in March before new game comes out
Merry Xmas to everyone!

Re: Playing in winter time

During the winter, I generally do not play much of "The Show" and this year has been no different. Around the beginning of Feb is when I start to play it again in anticipation of the new release. This year, however, I may not buy '18...depends on what SCEA does with RttS this year.

Re: Playing in winter time

I use to play thru the winter, some, splitting time with NBA2k each yr, but I havent played The Show, since the day NBA2k18 came out. Its not to say NBA2k18, is just so much better, that I cant put it down, as I havent played it in a couple weeks or so either. I has more to do with not being all to impressed anymore with MLBTS, to where it keeps me wanting to play more like it use to. Im just a offline franchise guy, and franchise just isnt progressing as much as I had hope for, once this new gen console came out, is all. Still a very good game of baseball, just not the attention keeper it once was a few yrs ago.

Re: Playing in winter time

I play nearly daily all year every year. In RTTS, my agent keeps asking if my player created player thinks about retirement. This is the second character I've had in split time between one I had for the previous two years and one I created this year named Daddy McSmashy.
