Editing players 1st and secondary positions to mirror real life - especially the minor league players.

Thanks - Dowie

Is a good one I use. It shows all played positions, and if you scroll down to fielding, it will show how many games played at the positions. Which I like, so if a guy has only played 6 games at a certain position his whole career, I wont add it so to say.

Franchise SIM is dead. Find your favorite iterations and play it forever. Card games are whats "now" and games will cater in that direction and forget realism.

Just have fun and play :)

Sometimes it is best not mess with them. For example: If you have a guy in the game who's primary position is SS and their secondary positions are 2B and OF, when you go to edit him, the secondary position will be blank. If you want to add another position in this instance, you change the primary position (for example) to 3B. When you exit the screen, you will see SS also listed as a secondary position.

Sometimes you'll dl rosters from the vault where the creator tweaked some of the MLB players secondary positions and it sucks because you can't change it back to where the player had more positions. The OSFM guys are smarter than that though and don't tweak that.

Best place for MiLB guys is go to their player pages and click the fielding tab. It will pull up every position they've ever played.

Do we know what actually happens when you play a player at a secondary position? I imagine their fielding is ok but not as good as at their primary? What about when they're played at an unlisted position? I've been known to pinch hit for my catcher and then forget to put in my backup catcher. Oops.

Anyone have a good website for ... contracts? I usually use B.R. but I would like to look into another option. I'm not wholly satisfied with B.R. when it comes to contracts. And I hate COTs Contracts/Baseball Prospectus. Its just too damn unwieldy and cumbersome IMO
