Old classic stadiums in '18

I apologize if this has been discussed but I could not find it. I have heard that there will no new classic stadiums in '18. Are the classic stadiums in '17 still in '18?

No new ones, all the ones from '17 will be in '18.

Yep. No new ones. Maybe next year we'll see some new ones added or the long awaited stadium creator. A lot of good is coming but not on the classic stadium front. Minor League Stadiums are going to remain the same generic stadiums but with new 3D backdrops. And stadiums that have bleacher seating now have the bleachers represented in the game. (Wrigley, Dodger Stadium, etc.) And of course dynamic crowds have been enhanced. That's about all the updates on the stadium front, unless I'm forgetting something.

Do you think the demand would be high enough for the developers to offer retro season packages? With the stadium at the time, divisional alignments etc.

Minor League Stadiums are going to remain the same generic stadiums but with new 3D backdrops.

Did not know that, that's actually pretty cool. Those MiLB stadiums were looking woefully outdated.

There's a classic stadium listed for buying one of the non standard versions of the game right? What stadium is that? If there's no new stadiums will people who buy those editions just get one classic stadium that was already in 17 and then that stadium wouldn't be available in the standard version ?

It's a stadium card (minor/major/classic) for DD to use as your home ballpark. Only the spring training parks are available at the start.

What I would like to see is what NBA 2K MyLeague offers.

Full customization of your franchise. If I want to make it old school AL East and West/NL East and West and eliminate all the expansion teams (D-backs, Rockies, Marlins and Rays) and eliminate the wild card.....let me do it. Then classic rosters would take on an even higher level of immersion and fun.

The screenshots we saw in the stream looked cool and while they were "the same stadium," they had a different feel to them.

I'm still hoping one day we get true real life minor league stadiums or at least a very detailed create a stadium feature that allows us to get them pretty close. I really feel a deep create a stadium feature is coming, hopefully next year, and that will help with some of the complaints if we can share our creations. Would be nice to create current minor league parks, classic stadiums they don't include and even some visions of the future. I'd even love an option in Franchise mode to use to build a new stadium if we're successful or if we relocate the team.

It may not come, but those features would be awesome.
