Because I do a carryover and use my own rosters

Because I'm impatient and I don't really want to wait until the OSFM rosters come out dig into Franchise. 😂 I usually start one franchise right away and then another one when the first OSFM rosters come out.

Carry over saves! I like to just get going.

5-0 in my Cubs carry over. Increasing the hitting to zone HoF now after crushing the ball the first 5 games.

Really disappointed that in my carryover save, I can’t get accurate audio for names of players that are in the game this year, and played last year. Tyler Mahle and Jesse Winker were the first two I checked on, and neither name in the audio options. Turned it off right there. “The little things” tick me off.

Re: MLB The Show 18 Franchise Discussion Thread

Haven't bought the game but watching some streams. Don't like the way they're hiding free agency signings in the offseason. You have to go into transactions and tab over into signings to see who you signed, whether it's your own guys or a true free agent. If it's the latter and they go to another team, it's really difficult to find where they went - you have to scroll through the complete list and try to hunt it down.

In previous years, it would pop up in a text box on your screen after every day you sim.

For a game that is all about making Franchise more streamlined and in-your-face, this seems counter-intuitive.

Also don't like how you can't do the renew/tender contracts before you do some of the others. I get them separating the two to make it easier to manage but let us do it all at once. I like signing my minor league prospects/depth before anything else.

Yep I have a carry over save from 17..

HOWEVER I really no longer wait for OSFM...

Yes they are cool but frankly once I start my franchise it's "My" alternate universe anyways.

Dont like waiting a few weeks to play my favorite mode. I am huge on prospects, but I really only care about having the top 100 prospects in the game. Other then that they are C potentials or less. Not really ever going to be effective. I just import the top 100 guys and roll.

Im 11-6 in my Cubs chise. Played about 9 games so far. Always play the first 5, then play 1 game a series afterwords.

Re: MLB The Show 18 Franchise Discussion Thread

I'm interested to just dig in and see how quality of life is in this mode. Gotta wait for OSFM naturally, but I'm stoked to see the new retirement logic and I'm hoping there were adjustments to how durability works. Arenado needing a day off twice a week doesnt make sense.
