Long story short, the Yankees were supposed to play the Tampa Bay Rays, but that was when Florida was getting hit with the hurricanes and was getting flooded.

So they moved the game to NY at Citi Field, the Mets stadium. However, a few weeks before this game happened, one of the Mets got traded to the Rays. So even though the Yankees and Rays were playing a few games at the Mets stadium, Citi Field. A few Mets fans went to see the game because of the ex Mets player who is now with the Rays.

When one of the Yankees player hit a home run, a Mets fan decided to show his displeasure. Rather then booing or doing anything that would be fruitless, he decided to thumbs down the home run.



Ever since then the Yankees made it their go to gesture whenever they hit a HR or do a good play.

Is there anything even close to resembling the Honda Center and the train station behind CF? Trout farm out in LF? I know the new scoreboard and lowered RF home run didn't make it but they keep ignoring what it really looks like off in the distance behind CF.
