Re: Why should I use dynamic difficulty?

Last years version I was hitting on legend and pitching on all-star. I started this years game on dynamic. My pitching went to AS+ and my hitting went up to AS but then dropped to rookie and I can't get out of it. Pitches right down the middle and I get good/good or perfect/perfect on a hit right at a fielder. I finally just went to AS on both and stopped dynamic after 9 games of franchise.

It was probably more of a mental thing getting frustrated because I know I can do better than rookie.

I had it on default, and will likely go back to it. I zeroed it out for a little while, but found that the level I was on, All-Star+, was becoming a bit too easy.

I go back and forth with using dynamic and just straight legend. I do like dynamic as it's kind of a game in itself to see how high a level you can go.

I'm using dynamic difficulty for hitting and pitching. Even with the sensitivity slider at default the more you play the less it sways and becomes more locked in to the ideal difficulty and takes longer to change when you do get into slumps or hot streaks. I mean that's what it seems like it's doing for me.

Already been said but l find it helps me find the sweet spot for both pitching and hitting. Right now I'm on HOF + for hitting and All Star + for pitching.

I've noticed that, too - definitely takes a prolonged slump at the plate or on the mound, for the difficulty to drop completely to another level. I like that approach and that you're having huge swings from inning to inning.

I max it to 10. I hope next gen, they'll improve it and let me max it to 11

We have been saying it for years, just let use select the plus up levels out the gate.

Re: Why should I use dynamic difficulty?

I've been going through a really bad cold streak when it comes to hitting as I was doing pretty well on legend before not being able to see the ball at all (zone hitting). When I first got the game I set up dynamic difficulty and started on All star but I want to completely start over so is there a way to completely reset my dynamic difficulty and start over from rookie?

I've been told by more than one person you can change your dynamic level to any level at any time.
I don't have the game yet so I can't give step by step instructions.

I’ve got the game and like you started out on All Star. I can’t seem to find anywhere that it can be manually adjusted. If you want to manipulate it put the sensitivity up to 10 and deliberately play bad. One strike out after another will have you down to Rookie in no time.

Re: Why should I use dynamic difficulty?

For me, its because of the HUGE, HUGE difference between Veteran+ and All Star for pitching.

For me as an individual, Veteran+ is a touch too easy, which I try to work around with sliders to make it fairly realistic and an appropriate challenge.

As opposed to All Star, which is brutally difficult, and results in the CPU hitting multiple extra base hits nearly every inning, and scoring in double digits most games vs me. Its an extreme difference every single year in the game.

I've chosen to stick with All Star for batting this year, after bouncing back and forth between Veteran+ for that as well the last few editions that I've bought, and its giving me pretty good results mixed with sliders. But pitching as a completely different story.
Anyone who claims to be a fan of two teams in the same pro sport is actually a fan of none.

I actually figured it out. I had to create a new profile and delete the old one. When starting I had the option of using the EXPERIENCED profile or the BEGINNER profile and under that experienced one is where I set up the all Star dynamic difficulty. So I created a new one, based it off of the beginner one and deleted the experienced one and the difficulty reset. It's exactly the way I want it now.

Thanks good info. I might do the same. I started on All Star and didn’t realise it was on and Dynamic got away from me in my practice games.

Using dynamic difficulty, if you run into a shutdown pitcher will your difficulty level tick down for the next game? Doesn’t seem right if it does.
