Face Scans are OPTIONAL

Sorry but I’m tired of people complaining in every thread about players that debuted last year “still not having face scans.”

First of all, Sony can’t force people to get scans. Some players just don’t want to be in the game. I wouldn’t.

Furthermore, it is a fact that the face scans they do in spring training will NOT be in that year’s game. So for a player to have a scan in ‘18, they would have had to get a scan in Spring 2017. The developers have said this on more than one stream. Obviously there are exceptions but those go against the norm.

If this thread is inappropriate then just delete it. But I thought this made more sense than continuing to reply to each complaint.

If he doesn't want to get a face scan it's totally cool, but they need to make a better fake face for Todd Frazier because he's been in the league for 8 years and in the game he looks like Chipper Jones.

most of the "fake" faces of the legends are hilarious. They are so off, it's funny.

Actually he is right. Check out some videos of face making tutorials for Pro Evolution Soccer. Some modded faces are looking better than preset faces and I don`t think these guys invite them to their homes.

I agree with both arguments here:

1. Scanning faces is up to the player...if he does not want to do it you cannot force them. So I get why everyone does not have a face scan, 10000%.

2. Roster creaters on OS and other places make CAPs that look EXACTLY like their real life counter parts and the only tools they have are the CAP creation tools that come with the game. So SDS could put a little more effort (or hire the guys from OS!) to work on the non-scanned faces.
