All-Star vs Hall of Fame

It seems that many on here, including myself are in between difficulties (on hitting especially). And I'm in the camp of, "I may be hitting on Hall of Fame this year." However, despite trying to use directional almost every year, it seems I always settle on zone. This year looks to be more of the same.

However, I have some questions for anyone that might know. What exactly changes when moving from All-Star to Hall of Fame.

Does the PCI size change significantly? I don't want it to be too small on Hall of Fame. Does the CPU's pitch selection change? Pitch speed?

The most concerning thing for me honestly is that the CPU defense will be ridiculous. One of the things that The Show has always done exceptionally well is simulate somewhat imperfect defense. Meaning that every time a CPU player dives he doesn't ALWAYS catch it. I absolutely love when a player dives and misses allowing the ball to get to the fence. The Show is the only game I've ever played that simulates this. Throws are off the mark sometimes, which again, is perfect.

If I move to Hall of Fame, I don't want to lose these things.

PCI is smaller and you see less "hittable" pitches. That's about it from my experience.

Hmm... well, I'll probably play a few games with it and see where I am. I don't think I'll strike out nearly enough using All-Star.

Pitch selection logic, pci, timing window and pitch speed are affected.

What about CPU defensive play? Are they all ridiculous gold glovers?

Not at all. I too have been all star hit and Hof pitch for the last few years...but, now Hof hitting plays beautifully. I have all default settings ....except infielder and outfielder arm strength at 4, CPU foul freq at 4 and CPU and human starting pitcher stamina at 6. I have always used armors sliders without fail. But this year I wanted to take Hof default for a test drive and it's been good. For example, I used to lower fielder reaction and speed to 2 or 3 to create more bloop singles, players like schwarber covering 120 feet to catch a line drive and doubles in the gap. But, this year it seems almost perfect at default. Now, the CPU def makes mistakes and every player doesnt throw it on a rail to the perfect spot. Honestly, my biggest complaint on defense (human and CPU) is the ridiculous 89 mph jump throw across the diamond the 3rd baseman and SS seem to still make about once or twice a game. Other than those instances (which I lowered infielder arm strength to try to counteract) CPU defense is pretty life like

I enjoy hall of fame because you have to be patient at the plate with an approach. Some at bats you may not see anything good to hit,so you at least want to work the count and try to draw a walk or get the pitch count up.

As far as the pci, i dont really notice it being significantly smaller, but you do need to be more percise with your timing and swing location. The cpu will make mistakes on hof, if youre willing to lay off the good pitches.
