I’ve been throwing what the catcher calls religiously for years (not using the mitt-thing but just fingers + gesture); this thread has reminded me how fun it is to call your own game. I miss it. I’m going back.

I let the catcher call it. Where the glove is at and the specific pitch that is flashing.

Usually I let the catcher call it. Sometimes I'll disagree though and choose a different pitch type. I just really wish that the pitcher would shake his head up or down or side to side when appropriate.

Even in real life the pitcher sometimes disagrees. That would be a nice little boost to immersion.
