Take your sweet time why don't you...(Fielder Reaction)

Anyone else seem to think the fielders sit back a little too much this year on routine ground balls and show little urgency? Twice I've seen a routine ground ball be beat out by an average speed hitter because Russell just took his sweet time.

No.

I think the urgency is better this year than it was last year (though I played '17 little last year)

I've had fielders take their time and get out average speed runners and I've seen Paul DeJong hurry a throw to beat a speedy runner.

Ive seen my infielders kind of not react once the ball was in play, but instead wait back too long and of course the ball gets thru to the outfield. It hasn't happened too frequent so i just chalk it up to how sometimes fielders are confused by the ball off the bat. It was a slight eye sore though to see it was pretry much a soft roller and see my 2b not react no matter what i did until the ball was clearly going to get past him.

I've had the issue of my fielder getting stuck in a running motion and run right past the ball without reacting to it and it causes me to turn a single into a double, triple or homerun.

Had a situation in a game tonight we're there were runners on second and third I was pitching and there was a short pop up toward first base in the infield and I could not control the first baseman he just stood there while the ball fell in front of him.
