The morale drove me nuts in 17. Bryce Harper was angry because he wasn't used every day, but he was in my platoon lineup from the beginning. The morale is pretty silly. I tried to get the morale up, but it's useless. I never understood the region one either.

I don't find players play any better or worse with Morale anyway i never look at it much. as if not being a opening day pitcher makes a different to pitching 3 slot

This. Honestly, what’s 3 points of OVR worth? An extra hit a week? One less error per month? I basically just ignore ratings altogether and just look at performance.

My closer (Doolittle) took a 5 point hit on angry manager and contract from an 87 to an 82. Madson, my set up guy, stayed at an 84. That screws everything up, when I want to stay true to real world and keep my closer. 5 points total is a big hit. Also, the rating changes based on morale don’t show until you’re in-game. You can’t see the changes outside of it.

I don’t find a good reason to platoon Harper, but I do platoon Wieters and Montero. Who are you platooning this year?

Re: Morale in franchise

The moral system needs work. Players shouldn't be taking a hit to their attributes because they are not being paid as much as they would like when we are unable to correct this until the offseason. These are the kinds of things that drive me nuts about the Franchise mode that has gone untouched in recent years. It severely needs some attention.
