Completely unnecessary comment. For your reference, a productive comment is one where you make a suggestion that goes beyond simply "try harder".
Anyways, I try to play 3-4 games per month and more in september (against division rivals)/playoffs. and critical situations once per week (depending on how I feel).

It's where you don't see every pitch during an at bat.
Also, I don't sim EVER or use quick counts, if you wanna get deeper into a franchise, then play more baseball.
I always use quick counts. Makes games go faster and I get a more realistic amount of walks and strikeouts. I generally do play every game though. I've been using year to year saves since whenever it came out (2014 maybe?) and I've gotten through the season each year.

I like to play one full game and then either sim to the 7th inning in the next 5 OR use player lock on a different player each game. That way I can be every single player on the roster. I'll do this through the rotation all year long. Play with SP #1, player lock or sim the next five games. Play with SP #2, player lock or sim to the 7th in the next five games, etc.
I try to play every game, but I usually don't. Shouts to carry over saves! Anyway, what I used to do was play every divisional game, and play one game of each series. Usually the first or last. Sometimes their ace if I like the matchup. Helped me out in the past...
