How will we DH Ohtani in MLB 19?

In this years game we have to switch Ohtani to a first position OF if we want to have him hit (so dumb). Next year when we can no longer edit his position how will we DH him in games?

There is literally no way to possibly know the answer to this question.

I just realized we can't even edit his position this year. How are people DHing him right now in Angels games??

Not sure if this is how, but one thing you can do, is this.

On days that Ohtani would be the DH, send down a pitcher (with options remaining) who you know will not pitch in that game. (most likely a starter who pitched the previous game) and call up a scrub player from AAA

Set your lineup so that scrub player you called up is DHing. Then, when that turn comes up, pinch hit Ohtani for that player. Now Ohtani is your DH for the remainder of the game.

After the game, send the scrub down, and call the starter back up. Do this each time you want Ohtani to DH in the game.

Why do you have to call up a player for this? Can't you just use any player as the DH and PH with Ohtani?

You can do that too but you can do it the long way and not waste a bench player you might wind up needing.
