Equipment locked?

so ive noticed once you create a player and promote him to majors and try to add the C flap it still wont let you. its locked. all the way through. looks like only some selected players have c flaps.

this sucks, i really wanted to be able to add the C Flap to at least created players, if not any player.... major disappointment. any way a patch can let us have the option?

This is true, but his helmet style has be protective. If it's not protective it won't matter if you add him to the MLB roster he can't be given a chin guard the option will be locked.

The helmet has to be a protective, I don't think Basic or any other will work.

Yeah, it only works with the protective style. Won't work with Minors, basic, or ventilated.

Seems like a glitch to me I'm experiencing a different problem. All my helmets are basic no ear flaps unfortunately I have basic and I have no control over the helmets ear flaps so I end up with one ear flap or two ear flaps. I really hope they fix this glitch because I'm putting in hundreds of hours into my players in roster to carry over to next year and I don't want this glitch to get in my way I stopped making players waiting for this to be fixed

so guys the new update lets you add the c flap to ANY player as long as the helmet isnt locked to basic or ventilated. its weird i exported 2 guys from mlb 17 ( Gleyber torres and my own CAP), it let me change the c flap on Torres but not my guy. it working on most of the players. im thinking im gonna go back to mlb 17 and change his helmet to protective before i export him to 18. but glad they fixed this and the cap brims... oh man i hated the curved cap brims
