Bunting

I tried something today and it was effective. I was experimenting with bunting and what I did was very simple I waited for the pitch to come down at least one third of the way to the plate and then tap the triangle button really quick and if you time it correctly the bat will start coming back away from the ball and you'll lay down a soft bunt

I’ll try anything, thanks.

Re: Bunting

I need to stay away from threads like these if I am getting ready to crash for the night. I read these and then I'm like "now I want to try this...".

Re: Bunting

Does it really work? Haven’t had a chance to test it yet.

Re: Bunting

sounds like using drag bunt for sacrifice bunt? and by diamond button, you're talking about triangle?

Re: Bunting

Oops did I say Dimond I meant triangle yes it works it takes skill just keep practicing I laid down the most beautiful bunt for a base hit. Yes it's more like a drag bunt.
thanks for the heads up I went back and changed Dimond to triangle

Re: Bunting

In general I stay away from bunting, my franchise is with an AL team so not many pitchers batting. However I have tried the tips put forth in this forum (similar to this OP) and yesterday I got it to work for the first time. This is out of about maybe 6 or 7 times experimenting during 'throw away' at bats.

So it can be done. Now having said that here's the caveat; I play on veteran level.
