Offseason budget question...

Is there anyway to reasonably estimate if I can afford all of the people I want to sign in the off-season? I’m going to resign Urias prob to 30mil a year, but I’ve also got 6 guys going through arbitration. Is there anyway to tell much of a weekly budget it might take to sign them all without having to trade a high priced veteran? I know there are many variables, but what is your process?

There’s really no way of knowing.

What I do is take my weekly budget and multiply by 26 to get an approximate price overall budget for the offseason.

Then I take $20M off of that for players going thru arbitration and contract renewable players

Not perfect but it works

There's also what comes over from the bank at the end of the season; still in the regular season that is another unknown. As an aside in the 'old' system where they didn't break it down to weekly during the season we wouldn't know how much we'd get based on what the 'owner' would give or take away for the new year.
