I don't play Road to the show but I liked what I saw during the gameplay they showed. I was never expecting a big leap in graphics for PS4 Pro at this point but I still think 19 looks as beautiful as ever

I am slightly more interested now. It seems like I was right in the other thread. The caps are at 99 but reaching them on your weak skills looks like it will be really difficult, or at least more difficult.

THANK THE HEAVENS - You can choose your team again if you want! Now if they could just reduce the chance of you being traded. I have very rarely made it to the Cardinals ML roster before being traded.

During the demo, they went through the dreaded position change. I am fine with switching for a week or two as long as it not permanent.

Skill tree looks interesting, but would need to see more of the options before I make a final decision on if I like them.

It is nice that they listened to the two biggest complaints from returning players last year, that we still wanted the ability to be an all 99 player and that we want to be able to choose our team.

Yeah the changing position thing is over-done. I wish it would happen less often and more when it would make sense.

Also my fears have both been assuaged from the removal of caps and that the in-game challenges don't occur that often.

I really love them getting innovative with some of these new features.

Yeah, it seems to be scripted in to every player you create. Again. I don't mind it if it is for a few weeks in the Minors, but I should always have the final say on whether that move becomes permanent, and I should not be penalized for saying no it. I realize it may not be realistic but If I choose to be a SS then it was because I want to play as a SS.

With carryover saves you could be playing your player for years so you want it to be at the position you want to play as.

My favourite part is they are adding in 2k like depth and interaction, without the over the top forced storylines. You truely can write your own story.

I am not applauding that feature yet until I see more. Remember when we all thought the coach and manager interactions looked great, until we started to get the same exact coaching interactions after every single series

At least these look like they will have some impact beyond just adding flavor.

Now they need to take that buddy system to franchise as part of the Pitcher and Catcher chemistry. I have been asking for this feature for franchise for 9 years and they never implement it, and now it's in RTTS

Anyone remember that part in the RTTS Gamestop Monday where they zoomed in on Roberto Alomar for the rock steady archetype? Well we finally know why they did that!

its because DJ LeMahieu is still shown in his Rockies uniform lmao

I liked that in the gameplay during that AB in this video, CPU tried to set him up inside for several pitches before going back outside, but missed locations and gave up the BB. And that appeared to be Veteran difficulty according to the dynamic difficulty slide-in. I'm pretty surprised by that - in years past it felt like you couldn't get the CPU to throw many non-strikes below All-Star. Just in case you had any doubts, this video shows you can still make contact if the PCI is not on the ball (I think it's an effect of Plate Vision), but I also think that on higher difficulties this will not be as forgiving.

As an RPG buff I find the idea of certain effects "proccing" during gameplay to be an interesting feature, but it's not one I'd want to take into a realistic career. Fortunately they are equippable and it seems I can choose to not use them.

                          I love that scorebug!!

Showing pitcher and what # in the order batter is and his average.

Not just that, there is a little dynamism to it as well, because in the 9th inning, it showed him 1 for 3 in the game. I'm hoping stuff like that last for the series.

I think that was actually added thanks to feedback I and others left a few weeks ago.

Because when they first showed the new scorebug it had the batters number instead.
