I just bought the pro today. Ive read where people prefer high frane rate mode or faster mode or something. Are these settings associated with the game itself or the system. If system then where do you change them. Thanks in advance

The game itself: Faster, balanced, and sharp. i believe that's the 3 choices.

Sorry, just picked up a pro too. So, most people find faster to provide a better play experience over the other 2 options?

Faster is 1080p 60fps, the others are higher res, if your tv / monitor can handle it (1440p / 4k) but they are at a lower fps. I'm not 100% sure what fps 1440p is at, somewhere between 30-59, and 4k is 30fps. To answer your question though, 60+fps should be the target for playing video games.
