Flashback Players in Franchise Mode, how will this work ?
In the blog it says that for the first time ever we can use Flashback Players in Franchise, my question is how will this work when you do a Fantasy Draft at the start of the Franchise mode ? How will it handle duplicates, like for example will we end up having 2 Harpers ?

I assume it will either just replace the original player or there will be dupes. There is a possibility it will just be appearance or something like that.if it is the former, then the player will probably have the same stats as his card in dd -

I’m assuming it’s an option in the franchise startup menus like the ones to add legends. Basically, they get thrown into the free agent pool or can be part of a fantasy draft if you want to go that route.
Pure speculation but that makes the most sense to me....

I wish they would just give some more info about this, why was this not even mentioned in the franchise stream.Comment

Re: Flashback Players in Franchise Mode, how will this work ?
I think they meant only Legends will be available for Franchise modes.
Flashbacks are current MLB players with a previous seasons’ attributes.
Legends have been available for Franchise mode in years past. Flashbacks have not

In the blog it says for the first time ever you can now use the flashback players in franchise, says so on the blog, if they ment legends then they would not say first time ever since they been in there alreadyComment

This is great news. I only play franchise offline and great to see some of that DD available outside of that mode. Adds alot of replay ability for Historic rosters

Yeah I work in local government and cities are always putting out incorrect information on websites, in agreements, in meetings...then people get totally turned around, confused and ticked off after chasing a result based on bad info placed in a supposedly reliable source.Unofficial OS Ambassador of "CPU vs. CPU"

Confirmed...Flashback players are in the free agent section and you can use them in franchise if you want to..many new legends have been added as well. Although we need to edit batting stances for a few of em.

Re: Flashback Players in Franchise Mode, how will this work ?
So my fear has come true, there is no option to not have duplicates, now if you do a fantasy draft in franchise and want the legds you just end up with 2 Harpers and like 2 Sales and so on. I wish they would have implemented an option to not have duplicates, this just takes away a lot of fun to play with the legends in franchise.
Can someone maybe atleast post who all the flashbacks are ? So i can make a roster adjustment and take those duplicates out.Comment

Re: Flashback Players in Franchise Mode, how will this work ?
I hear you..for fantasy draft purposes, what you would need to do is carry in a custom roster and import over the duplicates with perhaps CAPS like bonds and Sosa etc. that wouldn't otherwise be in. There are some legends like babe Ruth, Tony Gwynn, Edgar Martinez, Eddie Murray Cal ripken and a few others that have two different versions of themselves. So with the right importing and editing..you could have no duplicates
