The cubs optioned Ian Happ. would you consider his value to decrease? I'm just wondering how possibly trading for him would look? His value would be about 87.2M using my system. I think just a 50hitter and 50pitcher would get it done?

His stock has fallen a lot. I have him at around ~$33 million in surplus.

Any realistic trade I can make to dump Ellsbury? Was thinking about the Cueto deal that was rumored this offseason, any suggestions?

Realistically? Probably not or the Yankees would have done it already. However, I would say for the pure fact the situation with Cueto that is likely the only scenario where a team would take on Ellsbury.

Would it make sense to maybe attach an asset like Tyler Wade or maybe Bird? Someone who doesn't have room on the Yankees but might be able to help SF on a change of scenery type deal?

Alrighty...

Ellsbury is worth roughly -$5.28 million in surplus.

Cueto is worth roughly -$11.7 million in surplus.

Call it even and swap them or Giants can add a very minor piece worth about $6 million in surplus.
