Re: Official MLB The Show 19 Fantasy Draft Franchise Progress Thread
I'm going to be restarting my fantasy Franchise. I just created a roster using the default rosters but I updated all the contract extensions to opening day. I also redid the salaries of all the players because the realistic contracts don't work at all. So I went thru and gave all the players their "expectation" salary so it fits the game contracts and works out better. I also created my own slider set that works well for me. So I'm going to probably redraft my Franchise later today or tomorrow
Re: Official MLB The Show 19 Fantasy Draft Franchise Progress Thread
first game with Pittsburgh against the Reds. Well, I had the chore of trying to beat Mad Max. Well, it didn't happen. I barely got a hit off him. it happened in the top of the 9th inning. Let me say that hitting on AS in the show this year due to increased pitch speeds is insane.
Also hitting in Cincinnati on day games from behind the plate is nearly impossible due to the insane shadows.
After playing this game officially I did find a decent slider set that had lower pitch speeds on it that I used which seemed to help... I think lol

Did a 30 team control fantasy draft. I'm interested in where everyone ends up at the end. I'm playing a game here or there with each team. I'll try to post recaps and such in here.
Re: Official MLB The Show 19 Fantasy Draft Franchise Progress Thread
Does anyone have a positional round map? Kind of giving a ballpark of when certain positions should be drafted? Have always wondered about this over the years and I love doing fantasy drafts but I am always trying to improve my draft strategy, especially because I only recently started following baseball avidly and I am eager to learn some new things for a Fantasy Franchise.
Re: Official MLB The Show 19 Fantasy Draft Franchise Progress Thread
Cubs Lead Division By 3 Games
The Cubs stumbled into May losing 3 games in a row. Unfortunately those three losses came due to the top of the rotation getting abosulutely lit up. Only one major issue has occurred during the first month, with Ian Desmond fracturing his shin (out 1-2 months still). The Desmond injury may have turned into a blessing in disguise, as Mike Gerber has now taken over CF duties full-time, and shown he can hold his own against left handed pitching.
The biggest issue the cubs have faced throughout the year has been the ability to push runner across the plate. Part of that problem seems to be the longball, but Manager Joe Maddon attributes that to just early season adjustments and strong winds at Wrigley to start the year.
Lets take a look at the Cubs stats though the first month of the season:

Next Up
In a month in which the Cubs only have 3 off days (May 2nd, 13th, & 30th), the teams depth will be tested. Drury, Hicks & Robinson will again be relied on as the primary depth / pinch hitting options.
Rumors
The cubs may look to trade one or possibly both of their top prospects, SS Scott Kingery & SP Chance Adams. League sources have the cubs looking to move on from each player in an effort to improve the big league club, and possible shed salary (with an attached contract). Its still early in the season, so it seems we will have to wait on an answer for that.
**** I have played every game, beginning on Dynamic Difficulty, and settling on Allstar / Allstar.

First time trying one of these box scores. Here's what went down in the first game I played of my 30 team fantasy draft league. Next game played will be posted soon.
