(Erased because I didn't like the 'feel' of the team, so I'm staring over.)

Re: Official MLB The Show 19 Fantasy Draft Franchise Progress Thread

Alright, here's the Fantasy squad for this year...

STARTING ROTATION (AVG: 79.8 OVR, 26.4 years old)
SP1 (R) - Michael Fulmer (Round 3, 85 OVR, A Potential)
SP2 (R) - Jack Flaherty (Round 2, 82 OVR, A Potential)
SP3 (L) - Gio Gonzalez (Round 19, 80 OVR, B Potential)
SP4 (R) - Aaron Sanchez (Round 14, 76 OVR, B Potential)
SP5 (R) - Corbin Burnes (Round 6, 76 OVR, B Potential)

Very pleased with the rotation. I was a bit worried at first, when I wasn't able to draft one of Reynaldo Lopez or Jesus Luzardo in the 6th round, and ultimately had to settle for Burnes, but getting Sanchez and Gonzalez in the later rounds really solidified the rotation.

BULLPEN (AVG: 77.0 OVR, 28.0 years old)
LRP (R) - Matt Wisler (Round 33, 68 OVR, B Potential)
MRP (L) - Reonis Elias (Round 46, 71 OVR, C Potential)
MRP (L) - Jose Castillo (Round 9, 76 OVR, B Potential)
MRP (R) - Lou Trevino (Round 13, 82 OVR, B Potential)
SU (L) - Jake Diekman (Round 20, 77 OVR, C Potential)
SU (R) - Kelvin Herrera (Round 15, 81 OVR, B Potential)
CP (R) - Raisel Iglesias (Round 7, 84 OVR, B Potential)

Definitely something I'll be working on during the season. Still, I can live with the top-5 for now. Adding a veteran like Diekman in the 20th round really made me feel better about the bullpen overall. But I missed a lot of players I was looking to add to the squad, including Seranthony Dominguez, Reyes Moronta, Matt Bowman, Joe Jimenez and Framber Valdez.

ON-ROSTER FIELDERS (AVG: 78.3 OVR, 28.8 years old)
C (R) - Jonathan Lucroy (Round 31, 74 OVR, C Potential)
C (R) - John Hicks (Round 42, 75 OVR, C Potential)
1B (L) - Anthony Rizzo (Round 4, 83 OVR, B Potential)
1B (R) - Ryon Healy (Round 11, 75 OVR, B Potential)
2B (S) - Eduardo Escobar (Round 18, 83 OVR, C Potential)
2B (R) - Jose Pirela (Round 39, 72 OVR, C Potential)
3B (R) - Nolan Arenado (Round 1, 99 OVR, A Potential)
SS (S) - Jorge Polanco (Round 16, 75 OVR, B Potential)
LF (R) - Wil Myers (Round 5, 84 OVR, B Potential)
CF (R) - George Springer (Round 8, 82 OVR, B Potential)
CF (L) - Jarrod Dyson (Round 43, 74 OVR, C Potential)
RF (R) - Stephen Piscotty (Round 17, 77 OVR, B Potential)
RF (L) - Scott Schebler (Round 32, 70 OVR, C Potential)

Much older than what I'm used to do, but I'm excited to play with that squad, instead of going in with a line-up halfway composed of rookies, like I'm used to. Arenado, Rizzo, Springer and Myers should be the heart of our line-up. I'm playing 1 game, then simulating 5. Hopefully this team will sim well with an average clutch of 75.1 per player, including bench.

NOTABLE MINOR LEAGUERS
#1 - SP - Adrian Morejon (Round 25, 63 OVR, A Potential)
#2 - SS - Kevin Maitan (Round 12, 62 OVR, A Potential)
#3 - C - Joey Bart (Round 10, 62 OVR, A Potential)
#4 - SP - Adonis Medina (Round 26, 64 OVR, A Potential)
#5 - OF - Victor Victor Mesa (Round 22, 60 OVR, A Potential)
#6 - OF - Estevan Florial (Round 30, 58 OVR, A Potential)
#7 - OF - Leody Taveras (Round 21, 57 OVR, A Potential)
#8 - SP - Stephen Gonsalves (Round 27, 65 OVR, B Potential)
#9 - 2B - Isan Diaz (Round 23, 65 OVR, B Potential)
#10 - 2B - Cavan Biggio (Round 35, 63 OVR, B Potential)
#11 - SP - Ariel Jurado (Round 28, 66 OVR, B Potential)
#12 - SP - Darwinzon Hernandez (Round 29, 64 OVR, B Potential)
#13 - SS - Cole Tucker (Round 34, 63 OVR, B Potential)
#14 - 1B - Evan White (Round 24, 62 OVR, B Potential)

Felt it was important to have good young prospects at C, 2B and SS...so securing Joey Bart and Kevin Maitan early, while adding Diaz and Biggio later on was an amazing gift. In retrospect, I might've jumped a little too early on Mesa and Taveras, considering Florial was still available at #30. Wish I would've invested at least one of these two picks on another solid starting pitcher prospect. But overall, very happy I've been able to secure good young prospects at every position, except 3B...though I have Josh Fuentes and Renato Nunez (both C Potential).

A few players didn't play anywhere up to expectations so hoping its just them getting ready for the season. Overall I like the team, wish I had some more speed and a little better defense. Will post opening day lineups and pitching staff next.

Re: Official MLB The Show 19 Fantasy Draft Franchise Progress Thread

Well...went ahead and deleted the cubs, started a new franchise with the pirates. Needed real life prospects, just wasn’t interested in any long term stuff with my cubs. That being said, this team is wicked, I’ll post an update shortly with the roster. Playing my first home game after a 3 game sweep of the reds
