What’s one animation you wish they would bring back?

For me personally there was an animation in one of the much older PS3 versions (back when Francisco Rodriguez was the Mets closer!) where Sony would show you the back of your closing pitcher as he walks out of the bullpen to try to earn a save.

This used to be one of my favorite things. Especially when you factor in the SOTS music we were able to add. I’m sure Yankees fans enjoyed Mariano walking out to “Enter Sandman” with that same animation.

Sony has done a terrific job improving the cut scenes/animations the last few years and really making the presentation feel realistic. Maybe they could use this thread to make future presentation even better.

I’ve seen this cutscene once! I don’t why they’ve taken it out because it suits the situation perfect.

It’s overused, IMO.

Also, wayyyyyy too many planes fly over Citi Field. Not realistic.

Not necessarily bring back, but I wish the corner infielders could fall into the stands chasing down foul balls.

There should be one every couple of innings TOPS.

I’ve been to games at Citi where I see no planes the whole game. They don’t fly over as much as they did at Shea Stadium.

I’m a couple of weeks into my franchise and just realized when you said that that it isn’t in the game anymore! Thank god!

I liked the ability to pull back the camera when pitching so you could see the runner on second and how big his lead was.

Also, they took out the ability to have your pitcher look over at the runners without triggering the camera angle change. Just a little immersion thing I liked.

I know why it was taken out, but I miss the old player going ballistic over a call and then getting kicked.

PS to those that don't know, it was taken out because the MLB demanded action that was violent or threatened violence be taken out of the game.
