CPU teams not utilizing the 60-day IL

I'm 40 games into a franchise and I have noticed the CPU is not utilizing the 60-day list. For example, Toronto has 2B Cavan Biggio and LF Demi Orimoloye*injured for 6+ Months and both are on the 10-day list and not the 60-day.

Detroit, Miami, Philadelphia, Arizona also doing this.


I am only controlling Boston so it's on the CPU controlled clubs.



I already submitted a copy of this post as a bug report on the Show Nation forums as the thread here advises. Posting it here also for those who use 30-team control and may not have noticed it happening.

Yep I have to manually move them over. Just another day in 30 team control

Does it matter? Not being snarky, just like does it hinder or benefit them in some way to use the 10 instead of the 60?

Putting a player on the 60 day DL clears their 40 man roster spot

They are using it in my franchise. I do single team control

If neither of those guys are on the 40-man roster (they’re not in real life, so I assume they aren’t unless the AI added them later on) there is no difference between putting them on the 10-day vs 60-day. In my franchises the CPU uses the 60-day from what I’ve seen.

I'm using the OSFM opening day set, so if Biggio and those others were injured already and set to A by the roster makers, then it's possible this is why I see it and not countryboy in his franchise.


It's tough to decide when it says 1-2 months, as I just had with Andrew Benintendi. I ended up using the 60-day and clearing his spot, but it will bite me in the *** if he comes back in a month. But I didn't want to keep using the 10-day if he's legit out 50-60 days.
