After playing a couple games this morning, post patch.
The Good - CPU does make substitutions in ST now.
The Bad - simmed to my first ST gaming against an AL team and Shelby Miller was the Angels DH.

This is in a carryover franchise from 14 that I just started ST last night. However, a different version of the same franchise where I was already in the regular season I simmed ahead and the Twins did start a position player as there DH.

Maybe it's just an Angels glitch now because Miller is their ace.

Ohtani can be placed into the Angels lineups in Franchise now?

I took Ridins latest roster and, started a new season. He’s a pitcher only. Took the latest live roster and he’s a position player only. That what you’re looking for?

Yes, Thanks. It looks like anybody who wants to use Ohtani as a hitter only will have to START OVER

I was hoping this patch would be something that would allow players currently in the middle of a Franchise to choose their lineups without these types of restrictions.

Again, I don't know why it's so hard to allow me to choose from all 25 players when I make my lineups.

The Giants have Bumgarner bat in AL Parks.
The Rays take pitchers and put them at other positions all the time.

It seems like it shouldn't be this hard.
