From what I've read, it's the same for people who play head to head.
Okay, but the way 2K runs business has nothing to do with how Sony San Diego does.

This is very true. Once SDS introduced DD and microtransactions, it was clear who their target audience was and it is definitely not people like me that want nothing to do with RNG related loot box systems. Hard pass for me.

It means cards have zero value outside of the year you have them. Meaning, you can't take them to next year's game. It the same issue that Call of Duty has run into. Once the cycle is over, the value of things you purchased via microtransactions are reduced to zero unless you are able to take it to next years game, which, of course, you aren't able to do. It's a cycle.

But you know that going in. You know what you're getting for your money. If you don't want to spend real money to buy cards that you will only have for that game and until the servers are shut down, then don't spend the money.

Guys are acting as if you're required to pay real money in addition to the purchase price to play the game which is completely false, no matter how one tris to spin it or how many times one claims it.

If you’re naive enough to think that the cards you buy this year are going to carry over to the next game then yes it’s your fault

There’s no trickery taking place
