i have 26 million to spend but i can't make any trades because of budgetary constraints even if the other team is dumping salary so it's obviously not them.

im at 936k per week

i can sign free agents but i can't trade.

is this a bug?

why can't i trade?

any help is appreciated

I say restart season, and turn team budgets "Off".

Maybe check teams depth chart as well.

It says the max offer you can make is 1.05 mil. Maybe a budget screen shot?

i think you multiply that by 26 or 28 because i think that is how much i can pay out weekly.

You sure that 26 mil isn't in the Bank? You have to use stubbs to get access to that money. Here's mine, I have almost 7 mil in the bank, but unless I use stubbs to access it, it does me no good

I can sign Free Agents, fire or hire coaches/scouts. I could try that but in my 'Remaining Budget' it says 35 Million.

You sure that 26 mil isn't in the Bank? You have to use stubbs to get access to that money. Here's mine, I have almost 7 mil in the bank, but unless I use stubbs to access it, it does me no good

So i went ahead and purchased 20 million with 5000 stubs. It increased my Bank Balance but I still haven't solved my problem. If anyone runs into the same issue lol you now know not to make the same mistake I just did.

Money in the bank has no bearing on what money is available in the current season to sign free agents, coaches, scouts, or for trades. The money in the bank is simply to determine how much of a budget increase you receive the next season, or if you're cash flow is poor, how much of a decrease you receive.

One area where the game isn't transparent is the situation where the team doesn't have a near full 40 man roster or enough players in the minors. This has been where I've seen issued with enough money available to sign with the numbers in front of me but the game won't let me because it is calculating how many other players I may still need to sign to fill out the organization. However, this typically happens to me in the off season.

But then again you indicated you can sign free agents, so to me it would not be a roster slot issue unless you were moving pitchers and it would leave one of your teams in the organization without enough to play. I think they let you get away with only having one field player on the bench but pitchers you may need a certain number. How much salary would you have been taking on and have you also tried to swap a low minors for another just to see if it really has nothing to do with salary? Try moving one of your minor leaguers at 100K to the team for a guy making 650 k /year and see if the game will accept it, just don't save the game to try that out.
