Re: SCEA - Take notes from the EA NHL Team
I dont want to turn this into another wishlisht thread but what I'd like to see SDS do is, maybe on the Show Nation site, have a feature set up where it asks for a players relevant stats and it spits back out attribut ratings, maybe even based on if a player is a AAA level prospect, AA or A, or even already MLB level. As for likeness, I can live with generic looking players. I know its a big priority for a lot of people but that much is less important for me, than having accurate attributes. Though an accurate looking batting stance or pitcher windup and delivery is important IMOLast edited by Caulfield; 08-18-2019, 06:29 AM.OSFM23 - Building Better Baseball - OSFM23

I just want to be able to adjust that facial hair. I see far to many guys looking like Rollie Fingers or some equally ridiculous style."Listen son, you only have enough runs when you’re showering after a win."Comment

To be honest, the gameplay is already great imo. I would be perfectly fine if they just like, took a complete year off on gameplay to JUST work on franchise mode. The gameplay is that good imo.
And another thing, we need ALL levels of minors, not just AAA AA and barely A. Along with a fully expanded roster editor.PSN / Xbox GT - BLUEnYELLOW28Comment

For example, right now the limited roster causes massive issues when trying to properly staff a team. That part is accomplished well enough, but there is so little room for flexibility that making a trade has to be meticulously thought out. The 90 player limit also limits the types of trades that can go through. Not a lot of 1 for 3 trades are viable for the player.
And then there are the good players who just sit in FA because all of the teams are full.
Even 10 more spots would make a massive difference, but if you were to add A ball to the mix, all of those problems would come roaring right back.Comment

FYI you cannot change facial hair on actual players, any that are generic/CAP then yes you can edit just about anything about them.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

Re: SCEA - Take notes from the EA NHL Team
I really don't care if they have their actual facescans, just give us everyone outside the top 100 top prospects or so generic faces (with proper skin tones and perhaps closely aligned hair/facial hair) until they actually make their debut. Then they can get their facescan in an update later on if they're deserving of one and it'll update itself like Vlad Jr/Tatis. Then we can finally get the full roster on launch date, without getting upset when actual free agents or real players in AA/AAA are removed from the roster to add in rookies.
Either way this game has been stale for awhile and I will not get the next one if Franchise isn't improved. It's been the same game for years now, actually gone backwards from when I first started playing the games in 2011 when finances and post game reports were a thing. They went all out on Franchise on the first PS4 game with audio stories told by the commentators early in the season, who can remember them talking about Derek Jeter in his last season or how Nelson Cruz on the Orioles was a big late signing and stuff?
Heck they even use to have injury cutscenes/animations that use to happen after a play and that added some thrill to the game.
The gameplay is good, it's time to fix other things besides diamond dynasty.Last edited by delv213; 08-31-2019, 02:45 AM.Comment

Re: SCEA - Take notes from the EA NHL Team
You can add facial hair onto actual players in the NHL games. Why would MLB/the players union be against adding facial hair? It's not trademarked lol. Should be an easy thing to get the union and MLB to sign off on.
This would be cool considering the Yankees policy of facial hair removal below the top lip.Comment

Not 100% sure it’s actually the MLB/MLBPA that prohibits the altering of players likeness.
It could be how SDS created players are put into the game preventing them from being edited.

I believe it's because of the face scans. The scan captures the facial hair and writes a face file. The face is not created and facial hair added later. This is what prevents changes to the face, if I remember correctly from community day.

Thanks
I was thinking it was something along those lines and discussed years ago but couldn’t remember
