Staying clear of all sports games next year with the next generation looming.* Every single developer will have part of their development team dedicated to move their games to the new generations so I reckon it is almost guaranteed we'll be getting watered down version next year.

Maybe since Mr. Baez is the cover athlete, perhaps he got his photo taken this past Spring Training.

I'm also curious about the mention of "updated player development" in March to October. Curious what that is and if it carries across to RTTS and Franchise.

Guess we'll find out in the coming weeks/months.

Based on what evidence? MLB 14 was the first release on PS4 and it introduced Online Franchise in both the PS4 and PS3 version.

Most games last gen to current gen were nothing more then ports of the lesser version with some graphical improvements.

I am passing without changes and improvements to franchise. My wife bought it this year for me and I have hardly touched it. Feels too familiar and doesn't hit any of my wants.

I feel like it usually takes 2-3 years for sports games on new generations to really come into their own. Sometimes a series will completely face plant while transitioning. The early NHL games for PS4 were genuinely bad.
