Legendary Player Ratings

Does anyone else feel like the Legends are overrated in The Show? Probably in general across all sports games.

It’s seems guys are getting 99 or high 90’s ratings that never reached that level when they played the game.

Does anyone agree that legends should only max out at their best rating either from past MLB games or if their prime versions were to be evaluated for a rating today?

Re: Legendary Player Ratings

too many are for franchise but since they are so heavily used by DD'ers, they practically demand it, plus $ outweighs statistics.

It just makes the legends feel inauthentic. I’m a white Sox fan, and even I can recognize that Frank Thomas is overrated at 99. He was a beast, but 99? No way.

Re: Legendary Player Ratings

I think the reason they make the legends all 90+ OVR is because the game wants all the legends to be able to outplay live series players. Although I do understand. Guys like cliff Floyd, Jack McDowell, and rob nen were Guys who probably wouldn’t of earned a diamond rating throughout their playing career do get a bit of a boost in ratings.
