RTTS: Play as existing player

Any word on if we'll be able to play as existing players in RTTS, I remember it being an option in MLB 17 and probably 18. It'd make sense for it to be an option as minor leaguers are officially in the game now

I don't recall playing as an existing player ever to be an option. If you wanted to create a minor leaguer not yet in the game you could do so but not actually choosing an existing player. Now you could choose to model your created player after an existing player but not play as them. Not sure if that's what you're thinking.

There is probably a CAP in the vault of the “real life” player you want to play with. Download it, photograph all of the face edit pages, and copy it for your RTTS character.

I did this with Griffey a few years ago, using the 1987 rosters.

Yeah, I have been with the series for a long time and can never rememeber being able to play as a real player in RTTS.

The closest thing I remember is that in Franchise mode you had the ability to player lock a player before each game, which then played out like a RTTS game, minus the training aspects of course.

I know it was in MLB 14, not sure about 17 or any other year actually.

That's just the ability to model your created player after an existing player. Not to actually play as an existing player.

Ahh it was even further back than I thought damn :/

I checked out my MLB 18 and thought it had it as well but it just allows you to just mimc their animations
