Anyone know if there is the ability to have shortened season lengths in Franchise Mode? I believe we have lost this since season mode was removed. 162 is just too many, and my house doesn't like to simulate games.

You cannot play less than 162 games in franchise.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I thought maybe with them adding it in another mode (custom leagues), showing that they have taken the time to develop alternative shortened schedules, they would have given us a bone and thrown it back into offline Franchise mode.Comment

lol I'm totally opposite. while there are seasons I play every pitch and at-bat, there are other seasons where I do a little simming. but the 162 is non-negotiable in the ol' Caulfield household. 162 is perfect (though 154 would be a welcome addition). I cant envision a season where the HR champ won with less than 20 homers, or the Cy Young winner had 5 wins. if I wanted to play a 30 game season I'd play the spring training games, then stop there

As a full-time working, married father of 2 kids (5 and 4) I can tell you 162 isn't really that bad. I used to start in May (when the rosters would come out) and I'd be done in August-ish. I plan on starting right away on Monday at midnight (Tuesday off work) and my guess is I'm done sometime in July. I'll probably take my Sox and sim 3-5 years and start that season, which I should get 40 or so games in before I switch games.Comment

I miss this option as well because I liked playing short seasons w/ different teams to get a good feel of other teams.
But I guess March to October is sort of the replacement of short length seasons.Comment

Just to clarify, franchise season length can't be adjusted. Can just a normal season mode length be adjusted like Show 19? (outside of the franchise mode).Comment
